to a national talk radio station

over the fourth of july

and

a guy from indiana

called in and said

the best hot dog

he had ever had was

jack's cosmic dogs

by folly beach.

.so obviously

we had to try it.

.off the menu

we had the

cosmic dog,

create your own dog,

and

orbit city dog.

.along with 

some 

draft mugs o' 

rootbeer.

.which was

extremely

delish.

.it reminded us of

and made us miss

j dawgs.

.mellow mushroom.

.we previously

told you about our

experience at 

mellow mushroom downtown.

.this time we tried out

mellow mushroom avondale.

.since husband and me

enjoyed the buffalo chicken

so much last time

we were skeptical about

trying a different type.

.but we did.

.atleast half way.

.we tried the

funky q chicken on

the other half.

.and of course

mellow mushroom

wouldn't be complete

without the spinach dip.

.we even had

the tables around

us drooling over it

so much so that

three of them

ordered it

themselves.

.the biggest

differences.

the artwork

is more modern and pop

at avondale.

.the atmosphere at

the downtown location

is more homey.

before the crowd

around 12:30 pm.

tempura shrimp taco.

.all were fabulous

and

spicy.

a folly beach location.

in north charleston.

far in charleston.

party beach

for no reason

but

to say it is overpopulated

by collegiates is

an overstatement.

.we went to folly

today and it reminded

us of a more quiet

myrtle beach.

.if that helps at all.

a few more

than i cared for

and

obviously it is the

only beach

in charleston where

drinking is allowed.

.but all in all,

we enjoyed

folly beach

and

will definitely

be returning.
